The THC (active ingredient of marijuana) levels in industrial hemp are so low that no one could get high from smoking it.

2. Moreover, hemp contains a relatively high percentage of another cannabinoid CBD that actually blocks the marijuana high. Hemp, it turns out, is not only NOT marijuana; it could be called "antimarijuana." growth cycle produces as much fiber for paper as 4acres of trees that take 20 years to grow.

4. Hemp was planted around the site of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster to clean the radioactive toxins left in the soil.

5. Industrial hemp scrubs the air of carbon dioxide (the greenhouse gas that is primarily responsible for global warming) 3 times more than trees.

6. Almost any product that can be made from wood, cotton, or petroleum (including plastics) can be made from hemp. There are more than 25,000 known uses for industrial hemp.

7. In 1941 Henry Ford built a plastic car made of fiber from hemp and wheat straw. Over two million cars on the road today, including some BMW’s, Mercedes, and Lotus, have hemp composite parts for door panels, dashboards, luggage racks, etc.

8. Hemp seed protein is unique from other seeds (including flax) in that it contains all the amino acids essential to life. The very high density of nutrients per calorie makes hemp a good choice if your goal is quick weight loss.

9. The Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 effectively made the cultivation of hemp illegal, due largely to corporate greed and government corruption via the efforts of businessmen Andrew Mellon, William Randolph Hearst and the DuPont family.

10. The United States is the #1 importer of industrial hemp in the world. If hemp were legally cultivated using 21st century technology, it would be the single largest agricultural crop in the United States and world today!

Visit Versativa Hemp and Versativa Hemp Product Information and discover how you can open your own green business in the hemp industry, have fun, make money and support hemp reform as a solution to the environmental, health and economic challenges this country is facing.

###

Today's post sponsored by L-Arginine for Heart Health and Healthy Sexual Function.

***

Make a Difference! Marijuana is grown widely spaced to maximize leaves. Hemp is grown in tightly-spaced rows to maximize stalk and is usually harvested before it goes to seed.

*Hemp can be made into fine quality paper. The long fibers in hemp also allow hemp paper to be recycled several times more often than wood-based paper.

*Because of its low lignin content, hemp can be pulped using less chemicals than with wood. Its natural brightness can significantly reduce the need to use chlorine bleach which means significantly reduced toxic dioxins being dumped into waterbodies. A kinder and gentler chemistry using hydrogen peroxide rather than chlorine dixoide is possible with hemp fibers.

*Hemp grows well in a multitude of climates and soil types. It is naturally resistant to most pests, significantly reducing the need for pesticides. It grows tightly spaced, out-competing most weeds, so the need for herbicides is not necessary. It also leaves a weed-free field for a following crop.

*Hemp can displace cotton which is usually grown with excessive amounts of chemicals harmful to people and the environment. 50 percent of all the world's pesticides are sprayed on cotton.

*Hemp can displace wood fiber and save forests for watersheds, wildlife habitat, recreation and oxygen production. Hemp is helpful in reducing global warming.

*Hemp can yield up to 3-8 dry tons of fiber per acre. This is four times what an average forest can yield.

Think about it! Hemp is a good crop for America.

###

For more information about hemp: Hemp Products

***
Make a Difference! Hemp is of high nutritional quality because it contains high amounts of unsaturated fatty acids, mostly oleic acid , linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, and gamma-linolenic acid. Linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid are the only two fatty acids that must be ingested and are considered essential to human health.

In contrast to shorter-chain and more saturated fatty acids, these essential fatty acids do not serve as energy sources, but as raw materials for cell structure and as precursors for biosynthesis for many of the body’s regulatory biochemicals. The essential fatty acids are available in other oils, particularly fish and flaxseed, but these tend to have unpleasant flavors compared to the mellow, slightly nutty flavor of hempseed oil.

While the value of unsaturated fats is generally appreciated, it is much less well known that the North American diet is serious nutritionally unbalanced by an excess of linoleic over alpha-linonenic acid. In hempseed, linoleic and alpha-linolenic occur in a ratio of about 3:1, considered optimal in healthy human adipose tissue, and apparently unique among common plant oils.

Gamma-linolenic acid or GLA is another significant component of hemp oil. GLA is a widely consumed supplement known to affect vital metabolic roles in humans, ranging from control of inflammation and vascular tone to initiation of contractions during childbirth.

GLA has been found to alleviate psoriasis, atopic eczema, and mastalgia, and may also benefit cardiovascular, psychiatric, and immunological disorders. Aging and pathology (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) may impair GLA metabolism, making supplementation desirable. As much as 15% of the human population may benefit from addition of GLA to their diet. At present, GLA is available in health food shops and pharmacies primarily as soft gelatin capsules of borage or evening primrose oil, but hemp is almost certainly a much more economic source. Although the content of GLA in the seeds is lower, hemp is far easier to cultivate and higher-yielding. It is important to note that hemp is the only current natural food source of GLA, i.e. not requiring the consumption of extracted dietary supplements.

There are other fatty acids in small concentrations in hemp seed that have some dietary significance, including stearidonic acid and eicosenoic acid. Because of the extremely desirable fatty acid constitution of hemp oil, it is now being marketed as a dietary supplement in capsule form.

Obtained from the following article: Small, E. and D. Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence on hemp paper.

*When US sources of "Manila hemp" (not true hemp) was cut off by the Japanese in WWII, the U.S. Army and U.S. Department of Agriculture promoted the "Hemp for Victory" campaign to grow hemp in the United States.

*Because of its importance for sails (the word "canvass" is rooted in "cannabis") and rope for ships, hemp was a necessary crop in the American colonies.

INDUSTRY FACTS

*Henry Ford experimented with hemp to build car bodies. Most paints, resins, shellacs, and varnishes used to be made out of linseed (from flax) and hemp oils.

*Rudolph Diesel designed his engine to run on hemp oil.

*Kimberly Clark (on the Fortune 500) has a mill in France which produces hemp paper preferred for bibles because it lasts a very long time and doesn't yellow.

*Construction products such as medium density fiber board, oriented strand board, and even beams, studs and posts could be made out of hemp. Because of hemp's long fibers, the products will be stronger and/or lighter than those made from wood.

*The products that can be made from hemp number around 30,000.

SCIENTIFIC FACTS

*Industrial hemp and marijuana are both classified by taxonomists as Cannabis sativa, a species with hundreds of varieties. C. sativa is a member of the mulberry family. Industrial hemp is bred to maximize fiber, seed and/or oil, while marijuana varieties seek to maximize THC (delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol), the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.

*While industrial hemp and marijuana may look somewhat alike to an untrained eye, an easily trained eye can easily distinguish the difference.

*Industrial hemp has a THC content of between 0.05 and 1%. Marijuana has a THC content of 3% to 20%. To receive a standard psychoactive dose would require a person to power-smoke 10-12 hemp cigarettes over an extremely short period of time. The large volume and high temperature of vapor, gas and smoke would be almost impossible for a person to withstand.

*If hemp does pollinate any nearby marijuana, genetically, the result will always be lower-THC marijuana, not higher-THC hemp. If hemp is grown outdoors, marijuana will not be grown close by to avoid producing lower-grade marijuana.

*Hemp fibers are longer, stronger, more absorbent and more mildew-resistant than cotton.

*Fabrics made of at least one-half hemp block the sun's UV rays more effectively than other fabrics.

*Many of the varieties of hemp that were grown in North America have been lost. Seed banks weren't maintained. New genetic breeding will be necessary using both foreign and domestic "ditchweed," strains of hemp that went feral after cultivation ended. Various state national guard units often spend their weekends trying to eradicate this hemp, in the mistaken belief they are helping stop drug use.

*A 1938 Popular Mechanics described hemp as a "New Billion Dollar Crop." That's back when a billion was real money.

*Hemp can be made in to a variety of fabrics, including linen quality.

LEGAL FACTS

*The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), classifies all C. sativa varieties as "marijuana." While it is theoretically possible to get permission from the government to grow hemp, DEA would require that the field be secured by fence, razor wire, dogs, guards, and lights, making it cost-prohibitive.

*The US State Department must certify each year that a foreign nation is cooperating in the war on drugs. The European Union subsidizes its farmers to grow industrial hemp. Those nations are not on this list, because the State Department can tell the difference between hemp and marijuana.

*Hemp was grown commercially (with increasing governmental interference) in the United States until the 1950s. It was doomed by the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937, which placed an extremely high tax on marijuana and made it effectively impossible to grow industrial hemp. While Congress expressly expected the continued production of industrial hemp, the Federal Bureau of Narcotics lumped industrial hemp with marijuana, as it's successor the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, does to this day.

*Over 30 industrialized democracies do distinguish hemp from marijuana. International treaties regarding marijuana make an exception for industrial hemp.

*Canada now again allows the growing of hemp.

ECOLOGY FACTS

* Hemp growers cannot hide marijuana plants in their fields. Marijuana is grown widely spaced to maximize leaves. Hemp is grown in tightly-spaced rows to maximize stalk and is usually harvested before it goes to seed.

*Hemp can be made into fine quality paper. The long fibers in hemp allow such paper to be recycled several times more than wood-based paper.

*Because of its low lignin content, hemp can be pulped using less chemicals than with wood. Its natural brightness can obviate the need to use chlorine bleach, which means no extremely toxic dioxin being dumped into waterbodies. A kinder and gentler chemistry using hydrogen peroxide rather than chlorine dixoide is possible with hemp fibers.

*Hemp grows well in a variety of climates and soil types. It is naturally resistant to most pests, precluding the need for pesticides. It grows tightly spaced, out-competing any weeds, so herbicides are not necessary. It also leaves a weed-free field for a following crop.

*Hemp can displace cotton which is usually grown with excessive amounts of chemicals harmful to people and the environment. 50 percent of all the world's pesticides are sprayed on cotton.

*Hemp can displace wood fiber and save forests for watersheds, wildlife habitat, recreation and oxygen production, carbon sequestration (reducing global warming), and other values.

*Hemp can yield 3-8 dry tons of fiber per acre. This is four times what an average forest can yield.

HEALTH FACTS

*If one tried to ingest enough industrial hemp to get 'a buzz', it would be the equivalent of taking 2-3 doses of a high-fiber laxative.

*At a volume level of 81%, hemp oil is the richest known source of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (the "good" fats). It's quite high in some essential amino acids, including gamma linoleic acid (GLA), a very rare nutrient also found in mother's milk.

*While the original "gruel" was made of hemp seed meal, hemp oil and seed can be made into tasty and nutritional products.

Prepared by the North American Industrial Hemp Council, October 1997

For more information on Hemp or to order Hemp Products go to:

ForeverGreen Hemp Products

or

Versativa Hemp Products

###
Make a Difference! Hemp was planted around the Chernoble nuclear disaster twenty years ago to help aid and heal the soil from radioactivity.

Hemp is a hardy crop and does not require pesticides and very little herbicides to thrive. Hemp requires considerably less chemicals in the farming and manufacturing process than cotton.

Hemp's deep roots prevent soil erosion and aerates the soil.

One acre of hemp grown for100 days provides the same amount of paper fiber as four acres of trees that may take as long as 20 years before they are ready to harvest.

These are just a few of the environmental reasons to celebrate hemp on April 20, 2011 Earth Day and every day.

To learn how you can join the movement and advocate for hemp reform and make money while doing it visit: Versativa Hemp Products

###

Make a Difference! This reduces stress on the heart, improves circulation, and lowers blood pressure.

Pulse-8 was formulated in collaboration with leading l-arginine researchers and cardiovascular specialists who lead the industry in research and clinic application of l-arginine in support of cardiovascular health.

The advanced proprietary formula from ForeverGreen includes l-arginine in very specific ratios. One serving contains 5,000 mg (5 grams) of elemental pharmaceutical grade l-arginine. Often referred to as the “miracle molecule,” l-arginine has potent health-enhancing properties. L-arginine, one of the premium ingredients in Pulse-8, is known to be a blood flow enhancer. L-arginine is the body's major source for nitric oxide synthesis. Without nitric oxide (NO), human life would be impossible.

In addition to cardiovascular support, l-aginine also stimulates the release of human growth hormone (HGH), improves immune function, helps to build muscle, may increase energy levels and may even aid in achieving less body fat.

Pulse-8 is low-glycemic as it is sweetened with inulin. Pulse-8 also includes vitamins B, C, D and CoQ10 in a citrus lemon-lime base.

Pulse-8 with L-Arginine also includes eight important health ingredients:

1. Vitamin B Complex (B3, B6, B9, B12)
2. Vitamin C
3. Vitamin D
4. CoQ10
5. Inulin
6. Acai
7. Pomegranate
8. Red Wine Extract

Additional Benefits of L-arginine include:

* Hypertension: L-arginine is required in the body to synthesize nitric
oxide, which enables the arterial system to retain its elasticity, thus
alleviating hypertension in some people.

* Growth Hormone Release: L-arginine has been shown to promote natural growth hormone release from the pituitary gland, which is the best form of anti-aging.

* Exercise Aid: People who exercise use L-arginine to generate lean
muscle mass, reduce body fat and increase stamina levels. It also aids in post-workout recovery, decreasing lactic acid build up. The anabolic effects of L-arginine can enhance the effectiveness of exercise programs.

* Wound Healing: Surgical or traumatic injury greatly increases the body's need for L-arginine. The body uses L-arginine as a key building block to repair damaged tissue and bone. Published studies document enhanced wound healing in response to L-arginine supplementation.

* Enhances immune function;
* Increases growth hormone production;
* Promotes healthy erectile function and sexual performance;
* Enhances circulation throughout the body;
* Helpful for hepatitis;
* Stimulates production of insulin;
* Improves memory;
* Promotes restful sleeping and morning alertness;
* Increases metabolism; and
* Reduces menopause and PMT symptoms.

For more information on Pulse-8 with L-arginine please see the following links:

Pulse 8 with L-Arginine

L-Arginine Supplement for Your Healthy Heart

###

* Statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Those who favor the use of what is now called "medical marijuana" recognize these strong medicinal benefits.

But marijuana and the medical or recreational varieties of cannabis are not really at issue today, because science readily allows us to distinguish them from industrial hemp by simple tests for the huge difference in the potency of the plants, (i.e. the percentage of the psychotropic ingredient: delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol ("THC")), the active psychotropic ingredient found in the leaves and flowers of the female plant, but not in her seeds or stems.

Two cannabinoids are preponderant in cannabis: THC, the psychoactive ingredient, and CBD, which is an antipsychoactibuteive ingredient. Marijuana is high in the psychoactive cannabinoid, THC, and low in the antipsychoactive cannabinoid, CBD. The reverse is true for industrial hemp; when hemp was or is bred for its desirable industrial attributes, the percentage of THC is minimal, while the percentage of CBD is high.

While marijuana has a potency range of 3% to 20% by dry weight of THC, industrial hemp is generally defined as having less than 1.0% THC, and the normal range is under 0.5%. These THC levels are so low that no one could get high from smoking it. To receive a standard psychoactive dose would require a person to power-smoke 10-12 hemp cigarettes over an extremely short period of time. The large volume and high temperature of vapor, gas and smoke would be almost impossible for a person to withstand.

Moreover, hemp contains a relatively high percentage of another cannabinoid, CBD, that actually blocks the marijuana high. Hemp, it turns out, is not only not marijuana; it could be called "antimarijuana."

Feral hemp, or "ditchweed", is a remnant of the industrial hemp once grown on more than 400,000 acres by U.S. farmers. It also contains extremely low levels of THC, as low as .05 percent. It has virtually no drug value, but does offer important environmental benefits as a nesting habitat for birds. About 99 percent of the "marijuana" being eradicated by the federal government-at great public expense-is this harmless ditchweed.

So industrial hemp or ditchweed simply does not have enough THC for any practical use as a recreational drug, and anyone who grows industrial hemp will certainly have to suffer the legal consequences of trying to grow marijuana. But that too is very unlikely for a number of reasons:

Industrial Hemp is grown quite differently from marijuana. Hemp plants are cultivated inches apart to produce plants with tall stalks, while pot plants are short and spaced a few feet apart to produce bushy, THC-rich flowers and leaves. Moreover, they are harvested at different times.

Marijuana cultivators also try to cull male plants to prevent fertilization of the female plant. Unfertilized females produce more THC, making it attractive as a drug (sinsemilla). In contrast, hemp production typically seeks fertilization to produce seeds.

And cross-pollination between hemp plants and marijuana plants would significantly reduce the potency of the marijuana plant. If hemp does pollinate any nearby marijuana, genetically, the result will always be lower-THC marijuana, not higher-THC hemp. If hemp is grown outdoors, marijuana will not be grown close by to avoid producing lower-grade marijuana. A pot grower would fear the inevitable pollen from hemp cultivation in a mixed plot, and would not hide his plant in industrial hemp fields.

Likewise, extracting THC from industrial hemp and further refining it to eliminate the preponderance of CBD would require such an expensive, hazardous, and time-consuming process that it is extremely unlikely anyone would ever attempt it, rather than simply obtaining high-THC marijuana instead.

[Also see: www.votehemp.com/PDF/myths_facts.pdf to review: Hemp and Marijuana -- Myths and Realities by Dr. Dave West, who holds a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from the University of Minnesota and has spent 18 years as a commercial corn breeder, and, since 1993 he has served as an advisor to the emerging hemp industry regarding industrial hemp germplasm.]

All of this goes to show why, in countries where hemp is grown as an agricultural crop, the police have experienced no such burdens. In fact, there are over 30 nations currently growing industrial hemp. These include Canada, Australia, England, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Russia, and China.

The regulations established in these countries are simple: contract production, aerial ASCS type maps of fields, only government certified low THC seed, pre- and post-harvest field surveys, field checks on THC levels and an open field policy. And they do not have an increased problem with prosecution for marijuana use. So legalizing hemp would not burden local police forces.

This explains why the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) recently adopted a resolution strongly urging the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to collaboratively develop and adopt an official definition of industrial hemp.

This also explains why legislation to deregulate industrial hemp and/or allow scientific study by state universities is pending or passed in over 20 states:

Bills Passed: ND, HI, MN, IL, MD -- Resolutions Passed: AK, CA, KY, MT, VA, VT

Legislation In Process: SD, IA, ME, NH, NM, OR, TN -- Voter Initiatives: AK, CO, MI

Hemp Facts & Benefits:

Hemp is among the oldest industries on earth, going back more than 10,000 years to the beginning of pottery. The Columbia History of the World states that the oldest relic of human industry is a bit of hemp fabric dating back to approximately 8,000 BC.

2) Presidents' Washington and Jefferson both grew hemp. Americans were legally bound to grow hemp during the Colonial Era and Early Republic. The federal government subsidized hemp during the Second World War and US farmers grew about a million acres of hemp as part of that program.

3) Hemp Seed is far more nutritious than even soybean, contains more essential fatty acids than any other plant source, is second only to soybeans in complete protein (but is more digestible by humans), is high in B-vitamins, and is 35% dietary fiber. Hemp Seed does not contain THC.

4) The bark of the hemp stalk contains bast fibers which are among the Earth's longest natural soft fibers and are also rich in cellulose; the cellulose and hemi-cellulose in its inner woody core are called hurds. Hemp stalk also does not contain THC. Hemp fiber is longer, stronger, more absorbent and more insulative than cotton fiber.

5) According to the U.S. Department of Energy and Dr. Brooks Kelly, Hemp as a biomass fuel producer requires the least specialized growing and processing procedures of all hemp products. The hydrocarbons in hemp can be processed into a wide range of biomass energy sources, from fuel pellets to liquid fuels and gas. Development of biofuels could significantly reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and other forms of energy such as nuclear power.

6) Hemp can be grown well without herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides. Almost half of the agricultural chemicals used on U.S. crops are applied to cotton.

7) Hemp produces more pulp per acre than timber on a sustainable basis, and can be used for every quality of paper product. Hemp paper manufacturing can reduce waste-water contamination. Hemp's low lignin content reduces the need for acids used in pulping, and it's creamy color lends itself to environmentally friendly bleaching instead of harsh chlorine compounds. Less bleaching results in less dioxin and fewer chemical by-products.

8) Hemp fiber paper resists decomposition, and does not yellow with age when an acid-free process is used. Hemp paper more than 1,500 years old has been found. It can also be recycled more times than other paper products.

9) Hemp fiberboard produced by Washington State University was found to be twice as strong as wood-based fiberboard.

10) Eco-friendly hemp can replace most toxic petro-chemical products. Research currently using hemp in manufacturing biodegradable plastic products: plant-based cellophane, recycled plastic mixed with hemp for injection-molded products, and resins made from the oil, to name just a few examples.

Bibliography:

Chris Conrad, Hemp: Lifeline to the FutureJack Frazier, The Great American Hemp IndustryRichard Rose, Rella Good Cheese Co.Hemptech, Industrial Hemp and Hemp HorizonsHempology.orgDr. Brooks Kelly

Source of this Information:

Hemp Industries AssociationPost Office Box 1080Occidental, CA 95465 USA

Tel: (707) 874-3648E-Mail: info@thehia.org,

Website:

The above article and fact sheet was obtained from the Arizona Industrial Hemp Council's web site: www.azhemp.org/Archive/Package/Legal/legal.html

To obtain more information on Hemp or to order Forever Green's Hemp Health Products go to: Information about Hemp or Versativa Hemp Products from ForeverGreen

Make a Difference! Researchers have found its use in China, India, Babylonia, Persia, Egypt, and the native cultures in North and South America. Hemp fiber was used to make rope and cloth, while the stalk was used to make paper. These cultures also used the seed for nutritional purposes. It can be eaten as shelled seeds, oil, butter, flour, and protein powder. Hemp contains 40% fiber, which is the highest of all commercial flower grains.

Not only is hemp seed extremely versatile for the production of food, but it is the most nutritious food in the world. The nutrients derived from hemp seeds include fats, minerals and amino acids (protein).

There are eight amino acids human body cannot synthesize and two more the body cannot synthesize in sufficient quantity, that are essential to life. A diet without any one of them will eventually cause disease and death. These essential amino acids, along with eleven others the body can make from them, are chained together in accordance to genetic guidelines, via RNA formats from DNA blueprints, into structural proteins that give body to life, and into enzymes (globular proteins) that carry out the mechanics of living.

Hemp is not alone in containing all the essential amino acids in its embryonic seed. Flax seeds also contain all the essential amino acids as do many other seeds in the plant kingdom. What is unique about hemp seed protein is that 65% of it is globulin edistin. That is the highest in the plant kingdom. The very high density of nutrients per calorie make hemp a good choice if your goal is quick weight loss. Globulins are one of seven classes of simple proteins. Simple proteins are made from amino acids and contain no non-protein substances. Globulins are in seeds and animal blood. Edistins are found in seeds; serum globulin is in blood. Edistins are plant globulins. And globulins along with albumins are classified as globular proteins. All enzymes, antibodies, many hormones, hemoglobin and fibrogin (the body converts fibrogin into non-soluble, fibrin, a blood clotting agent) are globular proteins. They perform the main work of living. The most beneficial way to insure the body has enough amino acid material to make the globulins is to eat foods high in globulin proteins.

Since hemp seed protein is 65% globulin edistin, and also includes albumin, its protein is readily available in a form quite similar to that found in blood plasma. Eating hemp seeds gives the body all the essential amino acids required to maintain health, and provides the necessary kinds and amounts of amino acids the body needs to make human serum albumin and serum globulins like the immune enhancing gamma globulins. Eating hemp seeds could aid, people suffering from immune deficiency diseases.

Hemp, among its many other uses, is the perfect food for human consumption!

About 30-35% of the weight of hemp seed is hemp seed oil, an edible oil that contains about 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs); i.e., linoleic acid, omega-6 linoleic acid ( 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 alpha linoleic acid (22%), in addition to gammalinolenic acid (GLA), omega-6 GLA ( 1-4%) and stearidonic acid (SDA), omega-3 SDA ( 0-2%).

Hemp seed is an excellent source of calcium and iron. Whole hemp seeds are also a good source of phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese.

Hemp seed is gluten free and consequently will not trigger symptoms of celiac disease Hemp’s nutritional advantage over other sources of fats and protein thus lies in its highly desirable balance of basic nutrients. When eating hemp seed, nut and/or oil, our body gets much of what it needs without the addition of non-essential nutrients. Yet, unlike fish and flax oil supplements and assorted protein powders, properly processed hemp seed offers these benefits with the additional bonus of a nice flavor profile – hemp tastes good. Fresh cold pressed hemp oil and hemp nut, particularly when toasted, add a nice nutty flavor to many dishes and packaged food products. Hemp nut and oil therefore are attractive both nutritionally and are appetizing, rendering them truly modern food sources.

Amino Acid Profile of Hemp Seed: Aspartic Acid 5.303%; Tyrosine 1.484%; Glutamic Acid 9.257%; Valine 2.364%; Serine 2.830%; Methionine 1.194%; Glycine 2.479%; Cystine 0.824%; Histidine 1.406%; Isoleucine 2.269%; Arginine 6.262%; Leucine 3.551%; Threonine 1.969%; Phenylalanine 2.192%; Alanine 2.289%; Lysine 1.821%; Proline 2.029%; and Tryptophan 0.678%.

Hemp is Very, Very Nutritious! Now how cool is that!

###

Purchase Versativa Pulse with HempVersativa Hemp Info
Learn More About Pulse (PDF File)
Learn More about Hemphoria Hemp Seed Oil
Learn More about the Versativa Industrial Hemp Movement

***

Make a Difference! This has helped VERSATIVA move forward with lightning speed and put together the infrastructure for this new division within weeks. Our exceptional combination of price, product, opportunity, training and industry leadership are what will ensure our phenomenal growth and success, well into the future.

Versativa is also totally committed to revitalizing our ailing economy by offering this opportunity to everyone, eventually on a global scale.

VERSATIVA aims to be the first successful hemp-based international network marketing company and will be actively supporting the hemp movement with initiatives like starting a petition for legalizing hemp growth in the United States.

THE VERSATIVA NETWORK is poised to revolutionize the network marketing industry and is set to take the hemp industry by storm! Besides being a tremendous business opportunity, the mission at VERSATIVA is to make a difference to the environment and to “earth and humanity”.

VERSATIVA is an organized campaign to create and sustain an eco-responsible, abundant, economic stimulus.

ABOUT HEMP
NATURE’S MIRACLE!

VERSATIVA is in an industry that has been around for thousands of years, with new uses for hemp being developed constantly. The global use of hemp has grown amazingly and will continue to do so as more and more products and technologies make use of its unbelievable properties. Industrial Hemp is an untapped market in the United States.

Historically, hemp has been used extensively for items such as clothing, rope, paper, sails, canvas and more, before being banned from being grown in the United States. Nowadays, its uses are practically endless … even cars and homes can be built from hemp.

Take all these facts together and it is why a movement is developing around hemp and its amazing natural uses. And this rapidly growing movement is gaining momentum. It has altered people’s values so deeply that “hempsteria” is spreading like wildfire! It will, inevitably, establish itself firmly here, in the United States, and worldwide.

JOIN WITH US AND SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT!
MEMBERSHIP IS FREE UNTIL APRIL 30, 2011(After April 30, 2011, there will be a small membership fee.)

VERSATIVA may be one of the very few truly sustainable opportunities in our, otherwise, troubled global economy. And VERSATIVA has come up with the perfect solution: Combining the concept of network marketing with hemp products, so that anyone, and we mean ANYONE, can enter this ever-expanding market at a minimal cost. And there is a huge upside potential for those who enter early in the game.

If you are not totally satisfied with the business opportunity or the VERSATIVA products, VERSATIVA offers an iron-clad, 100% money-back guarantee. This is their commitment to demonstrate to you that quality is their number one priority. It is also the fundamental cornerstone why ForeverGreen, Versativa's parent company, has grown to become so successful and so reputable.

So join now, support the movement, be at the beginning of something great, and let us start growing your organization by putting the next person that joins from this blog post under you!

Click to learn move and join the VERSATIVA HEMP NETWORK MARKETING MOVEMENT.

###

Learn more about all the Organic and Natural ForeverGreen products:

L-Arginine Supplements for Healthy Hearts | Facts about L-Arginine for Your Healthy Heart |
TRUessence Essential Oils | ForeverGreen TRUessence Essential Oils | Immuneyes Immune Support contains Marine Phytoplankton, Oregano Essential Oil and Coconut Oil | Versativa Hemp Blog | FIXX Organic Shakes, FILL Nutrition Bars, FORM Diet Pills | Hemp Seed Oil, Hemp Seeds | FORM Diet Pills, FIXX Organic Shakes, FILL Nutrition Bars | FrequenSEA with Marine Phytoplankton |

***

Make a Difference! After the War, the government restored the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937, which effectively banned the growing of industrial hemp.

Corporate greed, spearheaded by DuPont Chemical and Hearst Newspapers, was the primary reason industrial hemp was banned in the USA. These corporations wanted to eliminate any competition to their lumber holdings and the chemicals used to produce paper products. After 60+ years of being told lies and mistruths, many Americans are taking a stand for hemp reform because they see hemp as a viable solution for the environmental, health and economic challenges facing our country.

At the forefront of this movement is ForeverGreen's Versativa -- a group of conscious entrepreneurs who are voting with their dollars, buying natural hemp based products, and educating people about all the practical uses and the environmental benefits of planting and utilizing hemp.

Hemp has over 25,000 uses. Most anything that can be made of wood, petroleum or cotton can be made from hemp, and usually more efficient and effective than what products can be made from now. Henry Ford made a car of hemp plastic in 1941 You can build with it, eat it, wear it, and print on it.

For more info about hemp and how you can join this movement, have fun, build a business with almost no overhead and create a residual income stream check out: Versativa Industrial Hemp

###

To obtain more detailed information, or to become a ForeverGreen independent distributor or to order products visit: ForeverGreen

***

Make a Difference! Especially confusing is the phrase “Indian hemp,” which has been used both for narcotic Asian land races of C. sativa (so-called C. indica Lamarck of India) and Apocynum cannabinum L., which was used by North American Indians as a fiber plant. Cannabis sativa is a multi-purpose plant that has been domesticated for bast (phloem) fiber in the stem, a multi-purpose fixed oil in the “seeds” (achenes), and an intoxicating resin secreted by epidermal glands. The common names hemp and marijuana (much less frequently spelled marihuana) have been applied loosely to all three forms, although historically hemp has been used primarily for the fiber cultigen and its fiber preparations, and marijuana for the drug cultigen and its drug preparations.

The current hemp industry is making great efforts to point out that “hemp is not marijuana.” Italicized, Cannabis refers to the biological name of the plant (only one species of this genus is commonly recognized, C. sativa L.). Non-italicized, “cannabis” is a generic abstraction, widely used as a noun and adjective, and commonly (often loosely) used both for cannabis plants and/or any or all of the intoxicant preparations made from them.

Probably indigenous to temperate Asia, C. sativa is the most widely cited example of a “camp follower.” It was pre-adapted to thrive in the manured soils around man’s early settlements, which quickly led to its domestication (Schultes 1970). Hemp was harvested by the Chinese 8500 years ago (Schultes and Hofmann 1980). For most of its history, C. sativa was most valued as a fiber source, considerably less so as an intoxicant, and only to a limited extent as an oilseed crop. Hemp is one of the oldest sources of textile fiber, with extant remains of hempen cloth trailing back 6 millennia. Hemp grown for fiber was introduced to western Asia and Egypt, and subsequently to Europe somewhere between 1000 and 2000 BCE. Cultivation in Europe became widespread after 500 ce. The crop was first brought to South America in 1545, in Chile, and to North America in Port Royal, Acadia in 1606. The hemp industry flourished in Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois between 1840 and 1860 because of the strong demand for sailcloth and cordage (Ehrensing 1998). From the end of the Civil War until 1912, virtually all hemp in the US was produced in Kentucky. During World War I, some hemp cultivation occurred in several states, including Kentucky, Wisconsin, California, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, and Iowa (Ehrensing 1998). The second world war led to a brief revival of hemp cultivation in the Midwest, as well as in Canada, because the war cut off supplies of fiber (substantial renewed cultivation also occurred in Germany for the same reason). Until the beginning of the 19th century, hemp was the leading cordage fiber. Until the middle of the 19th century, hemp rivaled flax as the chief textile fiber of vegetable origin, and indeed was described as “the king of fiber-bearing plants,—the standard by which all other fibers are measured” (Boyce 1900). Nevertheless, the Marihuana Tax Act applied in 1938 essentially ended hemp production in the United States, although a small hemp fiber industry continued in Wisconsin until 1958. Similarly in 1938 the cultivation of Cannabis became illegal in Canada under the Opium and Narcotics Act.

Hemp, grown under license mostly in Canada, is the most publicized “new” crop in North America. Until very recently the prohibition against drug forms of the plant prevented consideration of cultivation of fiber and oilseed cultivars in Canada. However, in the last 10 years three key developments occurred: (1) much-publicized recent advances in the legal cultivation of hemp in western Europe, especially for new value-added products; (2) enterprising farmers and farm groups became convinced of the agricultural potential of hemp in Canada, and obtained permits to conduct experimental cultivation; and (3) lobby groups convinced the government of Canada that narcotic forms of the hemp plant are distinct and distinguishable from fiber and oilseed forms.

In March 1998, new regulations (under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) were provided to allow the commercial development of a hemp industry in Canada, and since then more than a thousand licenses have been issued. Hectares licensed for cultivation for 1998–2001 were respectively, 2,500, 14,200, 5,487, and 1,355, the decreasing trend due to a glut of seed produced in 1999 and pessimism over new potential regulations barring exports to the US. Information on the commercial potential of hemp in Canada is in Blade (1998), Marcus (1998), and Pinfold Consulting (1998). In the US, a substantial trade in hemp products has developed, based on imports of hemp fiber, grain, and oil. The American agricultural community has observed this, and has had success at the state level in persuading legislators of the advisability of experimental hemp cultivation as a means of evaluating the wisdom of re-establishing American hemp production. However, because of opposition by the federal government, to date there has only been a small experimental plot in Hawaii. Information on the commercial potential of hemp in the US is presented in the following.

Cannabis sativa is extremely unusual in the diversity of products for which it is or can be cultivated. Popular Mechanics magazine (1938) touted hemp as “the new billion dollar crop,” stating that it “can be used to produce more than 25,000 products, ranging from dynamite to Cellophane.” Table 1 presents the principal products for which the species is cultivated in Europe, all of which happen to be based on fiber. This presentation stresses the products that hold the most promise for North America, which also include a considerable range of oilseed applications (Table 2; Fig. 1).

Click Here for the Entire Article

###

Today's Post Suggested by Versativa Hemp Products

***
Make a Difference! The following information was obtained from Wikipedia.

The Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2009 is a bill that was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Ron Paul (R Texas) and Barney Frank (D Massachusetts) on April 2, 2009.

Also known as H.R.1866, the bill clarifies the differences between industrial hemp and marijuana as well as repeals federal laws that prohibit American farmers from cultivating industrial hemp.

Industrial hemp is the non-psychoactive, low-THC, oilseed and fibers varieties of the cannabis sativa plant.

Hemp is a sustainable resource that can be used to create thousands of different products including fuel, fabrics, paper, household products, and food and has been used for hundreds of centuries by civilizations around the world.

If H.R.1866 passes American farmers will be permitted to compete in global hemp markets. On March 10, 2009, both Paul and Frank wrote a letter to their Congressional colleagues urging them to support the legislation.

This bill was previously introduced in 2005 under the title of Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2005.

For References and More Information:

Go to the wikipedia Link: Industrial Hemp Farming Act

###

Today's Post Suggested by: Versativa Hemp

Make a Difference!
